“Brisbane funk quartet, Alphabet Street, are ready to roll out the soul train to stages city-wide. Players who have been polishing their instruments and rehearsing maniacally to deliver a dynamite funk medley extravaganza. Lauren Crick (vocalist extraordinaire) and Nathan Leonard (guitar-slinging sideman) from the Independent Music Academy have joined forces with the tough-talkin’, street-walkin’ rhythm section of Aitken (sticksman/daredevil) and Beith (bassman/sage). Repertoire has been hand-picked from the finest vintage selections and brought to the masses via live show bootlegs. Alphabet Street are honoured to follow the traditions of their funky forebears and bear the torch for the next generation of funksters.
